Starting January 1, 2020, American Express is adding trip cancellation coverage for those with the Platinum Card, Business Platinum Card, and a few other cards. If you book a round-trip flight with an eligible card and your flight is canceled for any reason, you can be reimbursed up to $10,000 for non-refundable travel expenses. Note: Citi dropped its cancellation coverage in September.
