Form I-9 Form Flexibility Extended

When you hire someone, you must verify the prospect’s eligibility to work in the U.S. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced an extension of the flexibility in complying with requirements related to Form I 9, Employment Eligibility Verification, due to COVID 19. It was set to expire on May 1, 2022, but has been extended through October 31, 2022. This flexibility allows employers to inspect remotely rather than in person. #IdeaoftheDay
