The IRS’s Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (“EPCRS”) is a comprehensive system of correction programs administered by the Employee Plans Division (TE/GE) for sponsors of retirement plans (e.g., 401(k) plans) that have failed to satisfy certain requirements. EPCRS has been updated. Some corrections can be made without any fees or sanctions.
