Federal Contractors Minimum Wage Rate Increases on January 1

Starting January 1, 2024, federal contractors with contracts entered into, renewed, or extended on or after January 30, 2022, will have to pay a minimum wage rate of $17.20 per hour for all non-tipped and tipped employees (up from $16.20/hour). A $12.90 per hour rate applies for contracts before January 30, 2022. However, due to a ruling by a federal district court in Texas, this rate won’t be enforced in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas. #IdeaoftheDay
