Family responsibilities discrimination (FRD) includes cases based on pregnancy, motherhood, fatherhood, caring for family members who are sick or have disabilities, or caring for aging or ill parents. According to a study from UC Hastings College of Law’s Work Life Law, FRD cases are up 269% over the last decade, while at the same time the number of federal discrimination cases decreased. Employees win 67% of these cases that go to trial. Review your HR practices to avoid litigation.
