The employment tax offset for the employee retention credit was supposed to run through December 31, 2021. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, which is awaiting the President’s signature, ended the credit on September 31, 2021. Previous IRS guidance for the credit for the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year now only applies to the 3rd quarter. #IdeaoftheDay
