According to findings from The Ascent, a Motley Fool Company, over half of respondents who said they’re putting their stimulus check toward purchases will do so at a big-box or chain store. Less than 15% said they’d go to a local small business. The pandemic has changed how Americans view money. Before the pandemic, only about 30% prioritized money for survival, but with the pandemic that number jumped to nearly 50%.
