Last month, the E-Verify system that employers can use to ensure their workers are legally permitted to work in the U.S. underwent various enhancements. These include enhanced usability features to help employers enter correct information and make the process more user-friendly and improved data integrity (e.g., permitting photos of documents by mobile devices and changing “hire date” to “employee’s first day of employment” to align with Form I-9).
