A survey by AVG Business of small and mid-sized businesses in the U.S. and U.K. found that 43% of those with access to company passwords don’t have a clause in their contract to keep the passwords confidential. Surprisingly 16% of non-employees (independent contractors, freelancers, temps) can access company passwords. Bottom line: Check your password policy because SMBs are popular targets of cybercriminals.
