Disaster Assistance for Rural Communities Act

This new Act, which was signed into law on December 20, 2022, authorizes the Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide disaster loans and make disaster declarations in rural areas where significant damage has occurred. It also requires the SBA and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to report to the Congress concerning the availability of disaster loans in rural areas and ways to improve access to those loans. #IdeaoftheDay
