Today is supposed to be the biggest online shopping day of the year in the U.S. and in many other countries. Sales today are expected to top $3 billion. However, this will still be far short of Alibaba’s Singles’ Day (an event in China that is similar to Valentine’s Day here) on November 11th, when online sales reached $17.8 billion.
