According to the Fiserv Small Business Index March 2024, which is based on actual monthly sales data, the index was up in February (the next index will be April 2). Among the sectors, the largest spending increases compared were in Food Services and Drinking Places, Professional Services and Ambulatory Healthcare. Consumer spending cooled for Insurance and Real Estate Rental and Leasing. Specialty Trade Contractors (e.g., carpentry and masonry, roofing, electrical, and heating and plumbing specialists) also saw increased spending. #IdeaoftheDay
