The CBO released a report comparing U.S. rates and other corporate tax factors with those in the other G20 member countries. The report looked at the statutory rate, the average corporate tax rate, the effective marginal rate. The U.S. had the highest statutory rate, the third highest average corporate rate, and the fourth highest effective corporate rate. Likely this report will play a role in dropping the U.S. corporate rate and making other changes in the corporate tax system.
