Today is the start of National Fire Prevention Week (October 6 through 12). The theme for this year: “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” Take this time to look for fire hazards and check your smoke detectors, CO detectors, expiration dates on fire extinguishers, fire exit lights, and fire sprinklers in your facilities. Businesses can participate in Fire Prevention Week by training employees on how to use fire extinguishers and respond to fire hazards. Also keep areas free of clutter, avoid overloading circuits, and keep heat-producing equipment away from fuel sources. #Ideaoftheday
