Today is a provincial holiday in parts of Canada. Historically, this has been one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The Retail Council of Canada predicted that shopping intentions for Boxing Day would be 32%, up from 18% in 2022. Keep in mind that sales for Boxing Week—December 26 through December 31—continue to abound, and can run through the first week of the New Year.
