Bill Would Expand Incentives for Hiring the Disabled

It’s been claimed that 80% of people with disabilities want to work but only 15% of them have jobs. A bipartisan measure called the Disability Employment Incentive Act (S. 255) would provide tax incentives for hiring disabled individuals. The incentives include an increase in the work opportunity credit, a higher deduction for expenditures to remove architectural and transportation barriers, and an expansion of the disabled access credit.
