The Veterans Jobs Opportunity Act (H.R. 1298; S. 2443) would create a tax credit of up to 15% of the first $50,000 in start-up costs for veteran-owned small businesses. These are businesses owned and controlled by one or more veterans or spouses of veterans and that are located in underserved communities. The credit would be allowed for the first two years of the business, provided gross receipts or the number of employees don’t exceed set amounts. #IdeaoftheDay
