Baby Boomers Returning to the Workforce

The Work Shift reports that 13.2% of retired boomers “unretired.” About one in five Americans age 65+ were employed in 2023, which is double the number in the mid-1980s. In fact, 60.3% held a full-time job, while 39.7% were self-employed. Why are so many seniors working? Money concerns due to inflation and longevity top the list. Why hire boomers? A lifetime of experience and less likely to feel burn out. #IdeaoftheDay
