Today is the deadline for providing employees and independent contractors with their tax forms for 2015 (Form W-2 for employees who earned any amount; Form 1099-MISC for independent contractors who earned a total of $600 or more from you). (The usual deadline of January 31 fell on a Sunday this year.) Today is also the deadline for filing your federal employer tax returns (Form 941 or 944 as well as Form 940). Note that today’s deadline for Forms 1095-B and C has been postponed. Find forms and instructions at the IRS website.
