Each year, the National Taxpayer Advocate releases a report outlining objectives that the IRS should adopt for the coming fiscal year (the IRS implemented 73% of last year’s objectives). One new objective is making it easier to comply with digital asset reporting requirements. The report also details the results of the past filing season. It found that only 51% of calls to the IRS’ Business & Specialty Tax Services line were answered, and the average wait time was 13 minutes. For small business owners that DIY their taxes, this is a big problem. #IdeaoftheDay
