The World Cup begins today in the U.S. From a business perspective, it’s estimated that this could mean $17 billion in additional GDP. Certain small businesses—taverns, stores carrying sports attire, motels—across the country could see added revenue. Those in the 11 host cities in the U.S. (there are others in Canada and Mexico), including Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, and Seattle, will also see increased revenue through construction, tourism, and promotional events. #IdeaoftheDay
