That’s the finding in an OnDeck survey. It found that about $68 out of every $100 consumer dollars stays local, compared to $43 spent at national chains. The top 10 “shop local” states are: Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Oregon, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, Nebraska, and Washington. The survey also looked at the number of Instagram posts tagged with #shoplocal[city name] or #shopsmall[city name]. #IdeaoftheDay
