It may be. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) proposed rescission of EEO-1 reporting. Currently, private sector employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria, must annually submit workforce demographic data, including data by job category and sex and race or ethnicity, to the EEOC. The proposal would eliminate this reporting, but it’s not a done deal. Reporting of 2025 data may still be necessary. The due date for 2025 data hasn’t been set yet (the 2024 EEO-1 deadline was June 24, 2025). #IdeaoftheDay
