The NLRB withdrew a 2023 rule that expanded the duty to collectively bargain to joint employers and could expose one to liability for violating the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) even though that other party has no control. By withdrawing the rule, the old rule applies (at least for the present). This means joint employer status is only established if there is substantial direct and immediate control over essential terms or conditions of employment. #IdeaoftheDay
