Hiring foreign professionals?

There’s a new wage-weighted lottery system for obtaining H-1B visas for foreign workers (they must meet certain education and other standards). Registration for the FY 2027 H-1B cap will run from March 4 through March 19, 2026. Employers must use the USCIS online account to electronically register each entry for the lottery. Cost: $215 per entry. The fee for sponsoring an H-1B worker can be expensive. #IdeaoftheDay
