Today is a provincial holiday in parts of Canada. Historically, this has been one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The Retail Council of Canada predicted that holiday spending would hold steady and approximate last year’s spending. Keep in mind that sales for Boxing Week—December 26 through December 31—can run through the first week of the New Year.
