Massachusetts’ pay transparency law takes effect today (October 29, 2025). Employers with 25 or more employees in the state must disclose pay ranges—annual salaries or hourly wages—for job openings and promotions. This is the fourth state this year to have pay transparency laws, following Illinois (January 1), New Jersey (June 1), and Vermont (July 31). Another 10 states and the District of Columbia also have pay transparency laws. Be sure you know whether your business is subject to such law in your location. #IdeaoftheDay
