Small Business Sales Are Up

That’s the finding of Fiserv Small Business Index for July 2024. Sales were up 2.5% over June numbers. But foot traffic was flat. The U.S. Census Bureau echoed this finding, reporting a 1% increase in all retail and food service sales (not just for small businesses). Of course, not all businesses had positive results. And it’s difficult to know how sales will fare going forward. The August report from the U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled for release on September 17, 2024. #IdeaoftheDay
