Today is a national holiday in the U.S.; most federal offices are closed. The FLSA does not require you to give employees the day off or pay anything special to employees who work today, (unless overtime rules apply), but you can always choose to do so. According to Pew research several years ago, working on Columbus Day depends on where you live and who you work for; it’s the most inconsistently celebrated holiday in the U.S.
