At present, 22 states are members of the Streamlined Sales Tax Project (SSTP); 2 states are associate members. SSTP is a way to get states to voluntarily comply with simplicity and uniformity in their state’s sales taxes, making it easier for merchants to collect sales taxes when doing business outside their own borders.
