Small business loans are defined as those of $1 million or less, with micro loans under $100,000, and macro loans of $100,000 to $1 million. Conclusion: The growth of small business borrowing has been uneven since the Great Recession, but the value of such loans outstanding at the end of 2013 was up for the first time since 2008.
