Prior to enactment of the Monday Holiday Act in 1968 creating Presidents Day, this date used to be a federal holiday (it is still a legal holiday in about half a dozen of states). For small business owners, it’s a good idea to remember Lincoln failed as an entrepreneur in 1833, but ultimately succeeded in life. My favorite quote of his which I like to remember each year on his birthday:
“My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure.”
