Today open enrollment begins for individuals in government marketplaces for 2016 health coverage. Small businesses (50 or fewer employees) can use the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) for coverage starting any month of the year. Businesses that may be eligible to claim the credit for small employer health insurance premiums must get coverage here; privately obtained coverage does not qualify.
