Today is Labor Day, which is a federal holiday. It’s also the start of National Payroll Week (founded by the American Payroll Association) celebrating America’s 156 million wage earners and the payroll professionals who pay them. Through the payroll withholding system, they contribute, collect, report, and deposit 70.5% of the annual revenue of the U.S. Treasury.
