This holiday is a boom to retailers this year. The National Retail Federation reports that 161 million Americans will celebrate the holiday, up slightly from last year’s high of 158 million people. Total spending on costumes, treats, festivities, and, pets will reach $7.4 billion, compared to $6.9 billion last year.
