This financing option is now in operation as SEC regulations become effective today. Companies that want to raise capital through equity crowdfunding must file Form D at least 15 days before solicitation begins and use an approved intermediary platform (they can’t crowdfund directly from investors). They must amend the form within 30 days of completing their solicitation. The Fundable/SBE Council’s infographic on equity crowfunding shows other time-sensitive information.
