From time to time, states give its taxpayers an opportunity to pay back taxes without penalties. For example, Massachusetts’ program for individuals and businesses runs only through October 31, 2014. Louisiana’s program runs through November 15, 2014. New Jersey’s program runs through November 17, 2014. If you owe back taxes, check with your state or your tax professional for amnesty opportunities.
