The 2014 Aflac Workforces Report for Small Businesses found that 12% of employees had their hours changed from full-time to part-time last year. Small businesses (50 to 99 employees) need to be careful about this action in 2014 if they want to take advantage of the postponement of the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate until 2016 (see a Treasury Fact Sheet).
